Sandia National Labs AutonomyNM Initiative Postdoctorial Fellowship

The AutonomyNM Initiative has introduced a new Postdoctorial Fellowship in Autonomy that was recently established through Sandia National Lab’s Data Science group in partnership with the Autonomy for Hypersonics (A4H) team.  A4H has recently stood up the AutonomyNM Robotarium, a new low-cost indoor unmanned autonomous vehicle testbed. This fellowship is looking for up to two Postdoctorial Researchers interested in utilizing this new facility to propose and conduct research in autonomous systems and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for application to hypersonics and other advanced flight and defense systems. This research should advance A4H’s mission of developing advanced flight systems with unprecedented flexibility in response to unexpected flight conditions, difficult and adversarial operating environments, newly designated targets, and evolving target conditions. Selected Fellows will receive a one-year appointment with the option for potential second and third years, and the position includes a highly competitive salary, moving expenses, and a generous personal travel allowance. This posting is now live (see details here) and we are looking to make hiring decisions before the end of the calendar year.
