RIM Faculty Teach Free Coursera Courses

RIM faculty, Professors Irfan Essa, Magnus Egerstedt, and Tucker Balch will teach free courses: Computational Photography, Control of Mobile Robots, and Computational Investing, Part I, offered by Coursera. "Some may ask why we're giving courses away, but this is not about giving courses away," Professor Richard DeMillo, director of Georgia Tech's Center for 21st Century Universities, said. "It's about enabling different learning for different students." Coursera is a social entrepreneurship company that partners with the top universities in the world to offer courses online for anyone to take, for free. Georgia Tech is currently offering several free courses to empower people with education that will improve their lives, the lives of their families, and the communities they live in.
